Arriving in Singapore

Today we arrived in Singapore after 22 hours of travelling. The airport is fantastic, we were out, past security (including getting our visa on arrival) with bags on the train within half an hour from exiting the aircraft. Arriving at the hostel in Little India, in central Singapore after just 1.5 hours. It was easy to find but even as we waited at a red light crossing discussing what we were seeing, a man approached and offered to help us with directions. First impression of Singapore; the people are incredible nice.
The help and directions continued throughout the day as we embarked on a mission to beat our jet lag. We decided to go for a walk to take un some of the sights, after a wrong turn out of Little India we ended up with our first stop at Sultan Mosque.

We then continued to walk, what we thought were south, but in fact north to North Bridge Road market where we had lunch.

We then walked the 3km river front route to the Singapore Flyer.

Continuing past the Sands hotel and  ArtScienceMusem.

Crossing over the bridge to Merlion Park and down through the financial district until we reached Chinatown.

We finally headed back up to our end of town, past the Raffles Hotel and with very sore feet after walking an estimated 20 km and a tired head we are now having a rest before embarking on an exploration of Little India's food treasures tonight.
