The thermal baths of Papallacta
After the perfect week in Galapagos, we've returned to Quito. Having done the main city sightseeing a week a ago we were recommended to head 70km east of Quito to the thermal baths of Papallacta. Said and done! 4 of us left Quito around 10am and drove through amazing countryside, through the beautiful mountain peaks of over 4000m above sea level before we reached the 5 star resort.
They had about 15 different pools, varying in size, warmth and layout.
We carried our litte baskets with our possessions around the resort area and pooled hopped our way around the different baths as we were enjoying the stunning views of the surronding mountains.
After 4 hours of pure relaxation we headed back to Quito where we joined in with the Ecuadorian locals at their street food market.
And so yet another great day has come to an end!
