Sandboarding in the Peruvian desert

After driving along the coast of Peru it was finally time to set off inwards, our first stop was at the oasis in the middle of the Peruvian desert in Ica. Here we stopped for a couple of hours for an adrenaline trill driving through the sand dunes in big sandbuggies.

We stopped to take pictures over the desert landscape and the traditional poses.

Then the moment we had waited for arrived and we stopped on top of the first hill - brought out the boards and off we went downhill. Most people went in silence but when it got to the end and it was final my turn, there was nothing silent about my desent down the hill.

We continued around the desert and each time we stopped we reached a slightly higher and steeper hill and let's be honest it wasn't as if the screams were getting less as we were going on. It was great fun and an amazing adrenaline kick!
